UPDATE: The kids are found secure, and guess Jeffrey Lo is in custody, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension explained.

Cottage Grove authorities have discovered that the van attached to some Friday morning child abduction situation, however they haven’t found the defendant nor the two kids he supposedly took.

Spokesman Scott Seroka didn’t state where the 2004 tan Toyota Sienna minivan with Minnesota license plate 708 XEM was discovered, only that authorities continue to search for 25-year-old Jeffrey Lo.

Lo allegedly assaulted the mother of both kids, women ages 3 and 1, roughly 6:35 a.m., then drove in the minivan, based on a Amber Alert issued.

Lo is described as a man, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 180 pounds. With brown eyes.

“You will observe significant police presence in regions of the town,” the police division posted on its FB page. “Please note, and if you find a huge police presence, please leave the immediate area”

Seroka didn’t define where authorities were hunting.

At a preventative step, Oltman Middle School in 6625 Goodview Avenue S. implemented a modified lockdown because of police action in the region, based on a email sent to parents through by Primary Joni Hagebock.

Education continued as normal, but nobody was being allowed to go into the building. Authorities were in the faculty, but have stated there’s not any danger to pupils, she explained.

Lo was thought to be armed forces and taxpayers were advised to not approach if they found him.
